Hannah’s Values
Hannah is a ceramic artist based in Colorado. She has been working with ceramics since 2015 at the University of Northern Colorado, where she got her B.A. in Art History and Studio Art with an emphasis in Ceramic Design.
Ceramics has been a melding pot where she can combine all the techniques from various hobbies and interest into a functional form. Thus, many of her works involve a variety of experiments, mediums, and techniques to create one beautiful, playful, and whimsical form.
In 2021, she worked as a studio assistant for Denver-based ceramic artist Liz Cohen. She assisted in glazing, packaging, and prepping clay for her production pottery studio. This experience lead her to start her own studio, Hannah’s Ceramics Studio, in the corner of Coark Collective Food Hall in 2023.
From her private studio of about 150 sq ft, Hannah taught clay dates, hand-building classes, and multi-week wheel classes. She also leaned into her style of bright, colorful works that spark joy and liveliness in a home. Many of her works started to take inspiration from her Korean-American upbringing. Thus, she started making products that show motifs, characters, and forms that were common in her childhood.
In February 2025, she accepted a position at the Center for the Arts Evergreen as their Ceramics Studio Manager. In this studio, she was able to expand her skill-set not only as an artist, but as a community-building leader.
